How it works.

  1. For wide, low openings.

Ranch homes are full of openings like this, and a lot of them are over a counter. It's made from the same materials as our double hung.

  2. It slides sideways.

The sash rolls along a track, so there's nothing to lift. That makes it an easy window to open over a sink.

  3. Open it as far as you want.

An inch or all the way. A full exterior screen covers the opening, and the sashes tilt out for cleaning.

  4. From outside.

We fit the trim to your house, whether it's siding, brick, shake or stone.

What's in the window.

Your furnace's heat hits the coating and bounces back into the room.

Slider window in a home

Where it works best.

  • Over the sink

No leaning over a counter to lift anything.

  • Ranch homes

Matches long, horizontal lines on the outside of the house.

  • Bedrooms

Wide openings up high let light in and keep things private.

  • Basements

Works in short, wide openings where a hung window won't fit.

Looking after it

Vacuum the bottom track when you see grit, since that's what the sash rolls on. Tilt the sashes to wash both sides of the glass.

Slider questions.

Double slider or triple slider?

A double has two sashes that move and suits most openings. A triple suits wider openings and gives you air on both ends.

How do I clean the outside glass?

The sashes are removable and tilt out, so you can get to both sides of the glass from inside.

Can a slider sit next to a picture window?

It can be built as a large picture-style window with operating ends, which gives you a big view and air on either side.

Are sliders good for a kitchen?

They're one of the best choices over a sink, since one hand can open them without any leaning or lifting.
